A Little About Me & This Blog
My name is Ryn. I am 20 years old. I am Japanese and from Hawaii (no we don't live in grass huts, hula dance all day or constantly eat pineapples). I am an aspiring model and extremely into beauty tips, as well as make-up; that's why I have decided to make this blog. It gives me a chance to voice my opinion on products I have used, how it worked for me, and even get feedback from whoever is willing to give me some :) Everyone has different skin types, colors, styles and I feel like I can contribute to the make-up review world. I personally don't see very many "Asian" make-up gurus, bloggers or reviewers. I can imagine other Asian girls like me saying "what the heck, how does this work for my look or my skin type?" I find myself doing that often, I see great reviews or tutorials and wonder how it actually looks on an Asian face.My plan for this blog is for it to be somewhere I can document what I have used, how it worked for me, my reviews, even post up some tutorials or tips on other things beauty, and life :) I want to get readers involved because I do enjoy hearing about other products I haven't tried, or even just how maybe a particular product I enjoyed worked for someone else. I mean if I get unique feedback I could always make a note of how the product worked for you, that way other readers can see how there could be varied results! I want this blog to also be somewhere I can express my thoughts as well, on beauty products and possibly tips. Some of the reviews though, will also be based on stuff my husband has used with me. So for some products, you'll sort of get a "his and hers" type of review. We have different skin types, but I'll get into that soon.
My schedule, I will definitely be posting something at least once a week. Most likely on Wednesday just because I feel that, it's the middle of the week. I should have the whole weekend to try some thing new or have had an idea at least for a post. Sometimes, I will just post a haul, my monthly favorites, something random- I don't want to just be making a review site :) just something fun, like a beauty journal and pictures will always be a must. I may even start up a YouTube channel, so we'll see how this goes first off!
Ryn: I have more light colored skin, my only main skin concern would acne, I do get random spouts of acne. As for dryness, Hawaii weather can be a bit harsh, but luckily I don't have extremely dry skin or oil (except occasionally in the T-Zone). I don't have big or really visible pores either, but I do have slightly sensitive skin, so the products I generally use are great in a sense they don't cause irritation for people with sensitive skin usually.
Ryan: He is a bit more tan than I am. Literally everything I am not, my hubby. He does have regular acne, oily skin, and visible pores all over his face. He does use a skin care regime that we got for him to help treat his skin care issues, so yes, guys clean their faces too!! :) The acne does cause him to have a bit of irritation sometimes especially around the "pimple" site. He does have some acne scars, and occasionally gets dry skin.
In conclusion, I just want everyone reading that I don't know EVERYTHING, but I do know that I can give my own honest opinion :) if you agree with me or not, I don't want to argue, like I have said before everyone is different and so is our skin and looks- so what may work incredibly well for me, may not have the same effect for you and vise versa :D I am also always open to tips or constructive criticism, if you have an idea on how I could make my blog better or even just a better experience for other readers I would love to hear it :)
Thanks!(:
